Loading ...To make your maps look good and to encourage people to play them you need to make a good preview picture for it. This also serves as your radar.. so making it look good will help people enjoy your custom maps.
Follow the guide below to make an official looking map preview in the red alert 3 world builder:
- Set camera to top down view and zoom out so you get the whole map
- Take a screenshot.
- Open it in something that can save as .tga image type (gimp is free)
- Resize it (make it 256×256 or 512×512)
- Save as .tga and call it your map name adding _art at the end. (‘yourmap’_art)
- Place in your map folder
The Official Red Alert 3 maps look different. With some simple tools you can you use on GIMP, Photoshop etc. you can make your own map preview look as good as they do.
